Daisy Chain is taking a Sabbatical

Thank you for visiting!

I'm in the middle of organising an international move, so I’m afraid that mechanic life is on hold for a bit.

I plan to return early in 2025 - I hope to see you then!

Want to know more about your bike? I offer sessions on basic maintenance and repairs to advanced mechanics, parts replacement and upgrades, or just how to tell whether your bike needs a service.
Most sessions are available online as well as in person, and if you’re London-based I can come to you. Fees vary depending on the size of the class, but as a rule of thumb, group classes are £12 per person, 1:1 tuition £45 per hour.

This session is the heart of Daisy Chain. It’s about de-mystifying, jargon-busting, and getting you comfortable with how your bike ticks. Join a scheduled class or book a time for yourself and some friends.

  • Essential care and maintenance, how things work, safety checks, and keeping everything running smoothly

Intro to Bike Maintenance

Stopping is good! Brakes is the number one thing I get asked about, and I think it's the next good thing to learn about after you've got comfy with tyres and punctures (or even if you haven't!). This session covers all kinds of brakes and can be extended to include hydraulic brake bleeding.

  • How brakes work, replacing cables and pads, care and maintenance

"Diane instantly puts you at ease and you feel in a safe place to chat about the mechanics of a bike. I took a video and some photos [of my brakes] and showed them to Diane and all now sorted. Thank you so much for the fantastic advice." - Lis

"Learning how to check for wear and when parts need to be replaced is a game changer for me - I no longer have to ignore my bike’s squeaks or clunks out of fear from having no clue how to deal with it!" - Lauren
